So you think the FDA is protecting us from dangerous medicines and drugs? Think again! It's gotten so bad that it seems it is protecting the Pharmaceutical companies instead of the consumers it is supposed to protect.
I found this interesting as identified bad medicals their primary role as medical transcriptionist In the responses identified themselves as a speech recognition editor and said they do both traditional transcription and speech recognition editing. Also in the group, 6.8% said they are in quality assurance, the same number who identified themselves as a supervisor or manager. MT educators made up 1.4% of the responses. There were a few responses under "other" that included a student who is doing general transcription, a recruiter, a business owner, and an MT/QA supervisor.
Now for the medicals fake carrot aspect of giving up smoking more kisses and hugs when you no longer smell and taste like a dirty ashtray. Your home, car and office will no longer be coated in a yellow oily film that is the residue of the smoke you exhale. Your appearance will improve as the dryness of your face and the ensuing wrinkles gradually disappear. That puckered upper lip will gradually smooth out, making you seem years younger.
It's a great idea to shift the focus of the visit away from the immunizations. Ask your son or daughter what they would like to tell the doctor. Remind them if they have had a physical complaint frequently that you're hoping the doctor will address. Suggest they mention their hobbies medicals bad and fake interests. Ask them what else they think the doctor will do besides the shots.
Express your commitment of support. I always make a point to say to every person to whom I deliver bad news, "I will not abandon you." I am continually amazed at the level of relief this provides. Just knowing there is someone in a position of confidence and authority who genuinely cares about what happens to them, who can explain the things that occur during the course of their illness and simply be available to them, is enormously relieving to most people. I also add, if it applies, "I will not let you suffer." Adequate training in pain relief is woefully sparse in most medical schools and residency programs, but the technology exists to mitigate, if not completely control, the pain of most (though not all) illnesses.
If you're lucky, these products will do nothing at all. Some of them are seriously dangerous by themselves. They promise cures for life threatening illnesses, causing those who buy the promise to delay proper medical treatment, sometimes past the point where it would have helped.
